"The Fourth of July services at St. Stephen’s Church on Sunday night, July 3rd., will be particularly attractive and interesting on account of the war. The church will be tastefully decorated with the national colors, the music will be stirring and patriotic, and the rector will preach on the subject advertised above.
Remember that there is no trouble in getting a seat as the pews are all free and courteous ushers will be in attendance.
The public is cordially invited and especially the citizen soldiery for whom the rector will have a word of consolation and commendation. Show your patriotism by attending this service. St Stephen’s is one of the few churches in the city, that has special services for Independence Day."
