"The fourth of July a very happy time for the family of Mr. and Mrs. Detroit Fielder. The occasion was a family reunion. Out of town relatives present were Leroy Gordon, Bastrop, Louisiana; Mrs. Rosie M. Alford, Louisiana; Mr. and Mrs. James Glover, McGhee; Charles Smith, McGhee; Mr. and Mrs. Willie Smith and family, Pine Bluff and Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Moorehead. Relatives in the city present were Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Washington, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Washington, Rev. and Mrs. L. Davis and Mrs. Florence Porter. Friends present were A, Washington, Mrs. L. E. Stephens, Mrs. B.E. Johnson, Miss Helen G. Johnson, Rev. W. A. Thomas , Y. C. Thomas; Mrs. C. Wright, and Mr. Wes. Over 50 persons were present at this reunion. The out of town relatives returned to their respective homes in the afternoon. Leroy Gordon remained here with his daughter. He plans to return home the latter part of the week."
