“This month all Americans are going to celebrate the 4th - not our regular Independence Day … but in a way, a whole series of Independence Days … for it will be out privilege to subscribe during the 4th War Loan Drive the money that is running this war, and winning our independence.
Right now the urge to put our all into this war should be stronger than ever! One by one we have see the outer fortifications of Nazi Germany and Japan crumble … and with our armies poised to strike the blow that counts, our men need our dollars for Victory … far more than we need them!
Do you get a kick out of reading of the 1000-plane raids over Berlin? Well, to play for the gasoline along on a raid like that costs $380,000! Let’s make it easy for such raids to become a nightly occurrence - let’s crack the already crumbling enemy quick. It’s easy! Do your part in the 4th War Loan Drive - lend it everything you’ve got - for Victory!”
