JD’s Third Annual Bar-B-Q July 4th p. 1

"The Junior Deputies 3rd annual picnic and barbecue will be held July 4th at Camp Dickinson junior deputy’s camp. 6 1-2 miles out 12th street pike. Dr. Oba B. White, chairman, A.T. Miller, co-chairman. There will be baseball games between the colored deputies and two white Little League teams. Orchestral music, plenty of area for private parties. All who plan to have a picnic are invited to come to the Junior Deputies’ game July 4th and enjoy barbecue, swimming, horseshoe pitching. Prizes will be given to the best horseshoe pitcher and best “jitterbug.” Illing bus line will leave Carver YMCA. 9th and Ringo and A.W. Young YMCA. 814 East 14th street. North Little Rock."
