"The Great Fourth of July feast, which commences on the lawn of Mt. Horeb Church to-day, will close with a drill of their several societies on Monday and Tuesday evening at 16th st., and N. Carolina avenue.
The out-door concert at Lane’s Chapel on Monday evening last, was successful.
The choirs, Sunday Schools and the literary section are doing well.
Mr. George Gaskins, chorister of the Mt. Horeb is praised as the best. Miss Martha Kennedy, its leader, is sick at her home. 1639 P. st., n.w.
Miss Mary E. Wilson will be the guest of the Misses Hawkins to-day and to-morrow."
