Description

“COMMUNITY: We see many young men here registering for draft and their faces are bright and seemingly their hearts are light. Let us who remain behind the lines strive to keep these boys light-hearted. There is a part for each of us by putting the very best we have in us and by the help of God we will in. We are looking forward to a grand Fourth of July in and around the city and Citizens in this and surrounding towns are invited to come and join us in our celebration. Mr. Richard Smith of Kansas City, Mo., is visiting relatives and friends here … Mrs. Marcella Hood Taylor is planning to leave soon to spend the summer with her sister in Chicago Ill.,
