'Expect 5,000 to attend July Fourth Celebration'

"Orangeburg S. C., June 15 19- More than 5,000 pleasure-seekers are expected at the all-day Fourth of July celebration to be held at Harmon field, Cott Ave. for the benefit of the Community Center. Churches, Sunday schools and fraternal organization will co-operate in making the defense day observation and red-letter day. Parking arrangements have already been completed for more than 800 autos expected from all sections of the state.

Full meals will be served, while light refreshments will be on sale through-out the day. Heading to Community center organization is Lee. M. Dunton, former president of Claffin, with R. S.. Wilkinson, Patta Rone and M. B. Wilkinson. The committee on arrangements for the Fourth of July celebration include: John S. Mitchell, A. E. Blythewood, R. E. Brogden, John M. Marwell, W. W. Wilkins, R. F. Freeman, Dr. F. R Greene, N. C. Nix, Jacob Stonrer."
