"Whenever Independence Day rolls around. The motion picture studios may be relied upon to provide a considerable array of seasonable patriotic “still” photographs. The one reproduced above seems to be the least dizzy of the current year’s crop, and so we give it to you as a reminder of the patriotic implications of the day. It was posed [sic] by Eleanore Whitney, the diminutive, high speed [sic] tap dancer on the paramount [sic] lot in Hollywood, who here, of course, is demonstrating what Molly Pitcher may, or may not, have looked like. Anyway, it’s a nice picture."
