"Mr. H. C. Bolden, at his residence, on the Fourth of July, tendered to the BEE staff a complimentary dinner. The occasion was a most happy one and which caused all present to feel as ifMr. Bolden and others honored a paper like the BEE. Everything was done up in the first class style. The dinner was plentiful and the viands were of a most numerous and delicate character. Among those present were Messrs. W. Calvin Chase, R. F. Chisolm, James Roberts, Henry D. Pryor, Col. Wm. Murrell, W. M. Henderson, and several others. Many thanks were tendered Mr. Bolden of his kindness. The BEE staff left highly pleased with their reception."
