"PITTSBURGH, PA. – Sgt. Joe Louis, world heavyweight champion, Monday predicted that prize fighting will experience a big boom after the war.
“We’ve got a lot of good boxers in the service who will turn professional once the war is over,” Joe declared upon his arrival here to participate in a Fourth of July celebration. He referenced bouts at the celebration.
Louis also stated that he plans to return to boxing when the war is over. “If I’m not too old.”"
