“There were three hundred Negroes in the parade in the Fourth of July. The boys made quite a hit. They were commanded by Capt. Murry White and Sergts. A. E. Washington and H. W. Waldon. The boys were given a reception at the Masonic Temple by the Business League, Mr. B. C. Vanderhost, president.”
