Veterans Plan Holiday Affair, p.1

"The Veterans Government association is sponsoring a “King Size Bar-B-Q” on the fourth of July at the junior deputy playground, six miles out 12th street pike. From 2 to 8 p.m. The bar-b-q dinner is being given for the benefit of the junior deputies and funds will be used to complete the playground on 21st and Barber and to purchase baseball equipment for the boys. This will be the first fund raising project of the association."
